THIS FEDEX COMMERCIAL IS GREAT
The idea of the musician/actor/artist/whatever whose appearance is that of a dark, tougher-than-nails rebel is just a facade to hide a more sensitive, erudite side is nothing new — but this FedEx commercial, which revolves around a fictional golf-loving metal band, is executed so well that it’s still pretty damned funny. And I’m sure there will be people who are offended by the whole thing, ’cause I guess technically it implies that metal is “fake.” But at this point, I would much rather stereotyped as an effete intellectual instead of a brooding thug, wouldn’t you?
