THESE METALLICA SNEAKERS WILL GO GREAT WITH YOUR SLAYER SOCKS

Next year will mark the thirtieth anniversary of Metallica’s debut, Kill ‘Em All, and I know what you’re thinking — “Clearly, there is only one way to celebrate this monumental landmark, and that is with a pair of sneakers.” Well, hey, guess what, smarty pants? That’s exactly what the band is doing! And by “the band,” I mean “the designers at Vans, with the permission of the band’s lawyers.” I’m not even sure that anyone runs anything past Metallica anymore. As long as Lars is balls deep in Basquiats and Hetfield can keep  an electrified fence around his property, everyone is happy not to know, y’know?

Anyways, here are photos of the sneakers, courtesy of Kicks On Fire. They’re slightly less ugly than I would have guessed they’d be, and they’ll make it really easy to spot people who got into Metallica because of Load from a mile away.
