GOD FORBID ISSUE UPDATE ON TOUR, UPCOMING DVD, AND NEW ALBUM
In a recent news release reported at Blabbermouth.net, one of your MetalSucks.net editors’ favorite yet tragically underappreciated metal bands God Forbid talks about all things going on in their world, including an update on their summer tour with HATEBREED, plans for their upcoming live DVD release, and writing for the new album.
On the DVD:
I’m sure many of you know, we filmed (directed by Dave Brodsky) our most recent concert on the ‘Chains of Humanity’ headlining U.S. tour at the Starland Ballroom in our home, New Jersey. We have been doing some work on this since we’ve gotten home. Eric Rachel, who produced, or co-produced the last two albums, recorded the concert audio and will also be mixing it. So expect a monster sound. Also, we’ve decided include a documentary in the DVD. Close friend of the band, Denise Korycki is directing the documentary. [For your information], she also directed the documentary of KILLSWITCH‘s [ENGAGE] DVD.
On writing the new record, which has begun but won’t be a priority until after the Hatebreed tour:
There are big ambitions, and I certainly wouldn’t be suprised to hear significant change from the band. We believe in evolution, not stagnation. But I still can’t tell you what it will be like because I honestly don’t know. If you were going to ask me what I wanted, I would probably say ‘heavier, faster, and more metal.’ But I have to fight for that in the rehearsal room. We’ll see what happens.
This is certainly all good news that God Forbid fans will be excited to hear. Read more at the above link.
