FOR EARLY GRAVES, THE “DAYS GROW COLD”

Early Graves have released a demo of a new song called “Days Grow Cold,” and while any new material from this killer band would be news, in this case, the song is especially noteworthy: it’s the first piece of material they’ve released since the tragic death of vocalist Makh Daniels, whose duties are now being fulfilled by John Strachan (also of The Funeral Pyre).

It’s great to see the band staying on their feet following such a horrible accident. And the best news of all is that the song totally destroys — it’s punky and malicious, but some of the guitar leads are actually pretty melodic, and the entire thing is catchy as hell. I really can’t see “Days Grow Cold” being perceived as anything other than a triumphant return for Early Graves.
