Not only do you guys have universal healthcare, Les Stroud and the ridiculously awesome Heavy MTL and Heavy T.O. festival lineups this summer, but High on Fire will be making their only North American appearances all summer at said festivals. This after announcing they’re canceling their entire run on the Rockstar Mayhem Tour just last week while Matt Pike undergoes treatment for alcoholism. The news comes via MS reader Brian H. who sent us the above Tweet from the festivals.

I guess either Pike expects to be out of rehab by that time or the band just couldn’t turn down the sweet paydays that festivals of this nature offer; either way, good news for Eastern Canadians! Learn some survival tips from Les Stroud while you’re at it. Holy shit… maybe we could get him to do a “Heavy MTL/T.O. Survival Guide” guest column for MS?? Bonerz.
