TESSERACT AND ELLIOT COLEMAN BOTH RELEASE STATEMENTS ABOUT SPLIT

The search for TesseracT’s own Gary Cherone is on; the band is currently accepting submissions for their recently vacated vocalist spot. Do you have what it takes? Get in touch via the usual channels!

Both TesseracT and ex-vocalist Elliot Coleman — who was in the band less than a year — have now issued statements about the split, which was rumored last week. Here are a few words from the band via their official website:

Sadly, our good buddy Elliot has decided to leave team TesseracT.

We’d like to thank Elliot for everything he has done for us. We have loved having him be a part of this beast. He introduced us to a completely different side of our sound, as well the delights of Pho! Things we will always be grateful for.

So, as well as continuing to write and record album 2, we are also on the hunt for that special (shpecial) person to be the new full-time TesseracT vocalist.

Neither party gives much detail as to why Coleman is no longer in the band, although Coleman did offer this with regards to the writing sessions for the second full-length album: “that’s kind of when we came to a bit of a standstill… and not for any negative reasons… it just was apparent that we weren’t really a match for each other.” And later, “Stylistically, there were some differences.” Sounds like a case of both parties kind of rushing into things to fill immediate needs, then finding out farther down the line that they weren’t such a great match after all.
