BARONESS LEAD YOU ON A “MARCH TO THE SEA”
Our own Sammy O’Hagar recently gave the new Baroness album, Yellow & Green, a perfect rating, which is a rarity around here, in case you haven’t noticed. And here’s one three-minute-and-twelve-seconds long reason why: “March to the Sea,” a new song the band has been performing live since last month, but which is now for really-real streaming on Pitchfork.
It’s not hard to understand why Baroness are so eager to share this song with the world: while it’s actually kind of melancholic, too — it’s one of those songs that seems to ache, if that makes sense — it’s also so damned catchy that it HURTS. You will NOT be able to get this song out of your head, I guarantee it.
Listen here. Yellow & Green comes out July 17 on Relapse.
