EX-SOILWORK GUITARIST COLLABORATES WITH MEMBERS OF IN FLAMES, SOILWORK, SCAR SYMMETRY, ANTHRAX AND MORE…
This bit of news will surely please fans of Gothenburg-style melodic death metal (yours truly included). According to Blabbermouth.net, former SOILWORK guitarist Peter Wichers, who currently works as a songwriter/producer in California, has just returned from his native Sweden where he finished mixing and mastering a project that he has been working on for over a year. The CD, which will most likely be released under the “Nuclear Blast All-Stars” banner, features 10 new songs written by Wichers for 10 different singers and two different drummers. Guest singers on the CD are as follows:

This is especially exciting news for those who were distraught over the departure of Wichers from Soilwork, as Wichers was the chief songwriter in the band. Collaborations with the above names are sure to be awesome, and it’s also good to see that Wichers is still on good terms with Soilwork vocalist Bjorn “Speed” Strid. And a track with John Bush — I LOVE the idea of this! The album is expected to be issued later in the year via Nuclear Blast Records.
