DRUMAGEDDON MANHATTAN: THE ULTIMATE DRUM SOLO (PART 2)
Ex-Blotted Science / ex-Behold… The Arctopus drummer Charlie Zeleny made our jaws drop in November with his video of an 8-minute continuous drum solo spanning six stories of a Brooklyn building. Now he’s back in the center of it all, Manhattan’s Times Square, for another feat of strength; I counted three full drum sets and who-knows-how-many odds and ends and individual drums between. Sheesh, Charlie, that’s the best you can do???
They must’ve gotten up hella early in the morning to film this; look how empty the streets are (I’ve only ever seen Times Square look so empty during my patented 5am “good idea” walks home from uptown back in the day). Also, how the hell’d they get all the performer permits to execute this stunt? Well done.
