LISTEN TO THIS NOW: VANISHER’S BURIED ALONE EP
A few weeks back, Vince posted Vanisher’s awesome, Guns N’ Roses-inspired video for “Martyr to the Flames.” And if you’re like me, as soon as you heard the song, you got it stuck in your head, and promptly began to weep aloud, “Why can’t I buy this?!?!”
Well, terrific news: the band now released a new, three-song EP, Buried Alone, which features both “Flames” and two other excellent songs, “Reset” and a title track. And you should absolutely go listen to it right now.
Put in simplest terms: Vanisher is melodic metal done right. Much the same way Bloodjinn — some of whose members are now in Vanisher — succeeded creatively where so many of their New Wave of American Heavy Metal peers failed, so Vanisher pull off the whole epic-arena-metal in ways that so many modern bands cannot. It’s catchy to the point of being unshakable.
You can stream or purchase Vanisher’s Buried Alone EP here. I just went ahead and bought it, ’cause it’s only three bucks, and I was confident it would be worth it. Now that I’ve listened to it twice, I am happy to say I was correct.
