NEW MARILYN MANSON SONG POSTED ON MYSPACE

Marilyn Manson has posted a new song, entitled “If I Was Your Vampire,” on his MySpace page. The track comes from the upcoming release Eat Me, Drink Me, which is apparently about both Manson’s ongoing obsession with Alice in Wonderland author Lewis Carroll and his new girlfriend, nineteen year old actress Evan Rachel Wood (picture with Manson, left). Which is kinda funny, ’cause Carroll liked young girls.

ANYWAY, the track is slow, moody, and anthemic- a mix between Antichrist Superstar and Golden Age of Grotesque-era Manson. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet; my initial reaction is that it’s promising, if not exactly Earth-shattering. Still, Manson is one dude I will always remain optimistic about, because, frankly, he has a way better track record than most of his peers.
