Technofascism is in Blood Monolith’s Sights with Their New Single “Apparatus”

0

Death metal supergroup Blood Monolith is back with a new single about a month after bursting onto the scene with “Prayer to Crom,” and this one is just as heavy and brutal as the last. Dubbed “Apparatus”, this track is violent from the moment you hit play, so if you like extreme metal to be unrelenting, this is your jam.

For the uninitiated, Blood Monolith is comprised of Nails and Ulthar’s Shelby Lermo, guitarist Tommy Wall (Undeath), bassist Nolan (Genocide Pact, Shitstorm) and drummer Aidan Tydings-Lynch (Deliriant Nerve, Brain Tourniquet). The band started after Lermo’s time with Vastum came to an end in 2023.

Now with this new outfit, the group is seeking to punish peoples’ senses with the upcoming release of The Calling of Fire. As for the track itself, Lemmo said:

“‘Apparatus’ is about the onslaught of technofascism, and how we’re all supporting it to some extent in service of convenience. Chris at Profound Lore hit me up about someone doing some sort of video for it. I occasionally work as a video editor, so I decided I’d just do it myself.”

The Calling Of Fire will be released on May 16 via Profound Lore Records, but you can preorder your copy today.
