Converge Have the Drums for 17 New Songs Tracked for Their Upcoming Album

0

It’s been far too long since we’ve gotten a standalone Converge record. Sure, we got that collaborative album with Chelsea Wolfe back in 2021, but their most recent full-length effort that was all their own was 2017’s The Dusk In Us. But thanks to a recent update from drummer Ben Koller, it’s looking like their next release is coming along quite nicely.

According to a social media post by Koller, the influential metalcore outfit have tracked all of the drums for 17 brand new songs. And that’s not even all of the tracks he has to record, nor does that say anything about the other members’ tracking responsibilities. Still, it’s definitely a major step in getting the 10th Converge record completed.

Work on the new album started back a few weeks ago, which we know thanks to vocalist Jacob Bannon and his Substack. They’ve said for a while now that we’ll hear new Converge music before the end of 2025, which is insanely exciting.

In the meantime, the band have a number of mostly festival appearances with some off-shoot gigs here and there. If you want to catch the band live, be sure to check out the dates below and get yourself to a show.
