Bruce Dickinson’s ‘The Mandrake Project’ Comic Series Gets 184 Page Special Edition
Are you a huge Bruce Dickinson fan but you missed out on the The Mandrake Project comic book run? Well, pretty soon you’ll be able to get started pretty quickly when the first four is re-released in a special collection titled The Mandrake Project: Year One.
Set to release on August 5, the 184-page collection features an introduction written by Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter and a special edition slipcase that features a rotating, embossed Mandrake dial. It also comes with some foil collector’s cards and a cast metal Mandrake Project medallion as seen in the comics and music videos. Seriously, if you really liked Dickinson’s seventh solo album from last year, this might be the thing for you — and Bruce is excited to get it in your hands.
“Finally we are at the end of the beginning. I honestly have to pinch myself to believe that Volume 1 of The Mandrake Project is upon us. I sometimes get the feeling that I am not fully in control of the story, and that some other entity is squeezing the blood out of my subconscious and turning it into ink on the page before my very eyes. We are just getting going. We are all… formed… of the dead.”
If all of that sound exciting to you, you can preorder your copy directly from the publisher, Z2 Comics. However, if you’d like to catch the real deal, Dickinson has a North American tour coming up this August. You can find the full list of dates below.
