King Parrot Aim to “Punish The Runt” in New Single, Announce Australian Tour Dates
This group of Aussie motherfuckers known as King Parrot released a pummeling new single from their forthcoming album A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot and it’s available for streaming below. Clocking in at just over two minutes, this is a rager of a track. Think of it as an auditory assault to hopefully close out your work week.
This new track comes roughly a month after the release of their previous single “Target Pig Elite,” which was another absolute rager. According to the band, this new track highlights King Parrot’s “modern grindcore elements, with a punk rock ethos, and grooving riffs.” Speaking of the track, vocalist Matt Young says that statement is pretty damn apt.
“This new one is a personal favorite of mine. We enjoyed putting this one together and it’s got every aspect of what the band does in it: grind, thrash, punk, and even rock ‘n’ roll elements. It was one of the first tracks we put together in the writing sessions. We hope you all dig listening as much as we did writing.”
In addition to the track release, the band announced their upcoming Australian tour this May. This news comes not long after the end of their European and U.K. run with Pantera and Power Trip, as well as their European club tour with death metal outfit Master.
