Hardcore band The Armed Play Bernie Sanders’s “Fighting Oligarchy” Rally

Everything about this is awesome. I’ll keep it short and sweet—The Armed, the hardcore punk superband collective from Michigan, played a set yesterday (March 8) at a rally Senator Bernie Sanders held at Lincoln High School in Warren, Michigan. Fittingly, the band opened its set by covering “Search and Destroy” by the Stooges. Watch footage of it, thanks to the YouTube account Rebel Yell Liquid Sky below.

The rally is part of a tour Sanders is on called “Fighting Oligarchy.” Previous rally dates, held in Altoona and Kenosha, Wisconsin, featured performances from Poliça and the Laura Jane Grace and Tim Kinsella-led band Kinsella & Pulse respectively.
