Entombed Are Officially Working on New Music
Yes, yes, and 100 more times, yes. We need this. Well, maybe y’all don’t but I sure do. Swedish death metal legends Entombed have made their triumphant return to the studio to make some new music. What comes of it will be the first bit of material we’ve seen in 18 years, since they released their ninth studio album Serpent Saints: The Ten Amendments, back in 2007.
Entombed took to their Facebook earlier today (Saturday, March 1) with some photos (which actually look like they were taken with a film camera) and some words on their current creations:
“Back in the Studio – After All These Years! We started working on new material at Nicke’s studio — digging into the riffs, tones, and everything in between. Even dusted off the Peavey Studio Pro 40, the same amp used on ‘Left Hand Path’, to see if it still had some magic left in it.
“Things are coming together, and we can’t wait to share more with you all as soon as possible. Stay tuned!
“L-R: Nicke Andersson, Uffe Cederlund dialing in the sound, and Alex Hellid (partly visible in the reflection) capturing the moment.”
Entombed’s present-day lineup still features original members Alex Hellid and Uffe Cederlund on guitar and Nicke Andersson on drums. Rounding them out is Jörgen Sandström on bass, who first joined the band in 1995.
