letlive. Has Reunited, Only to Play Out Their Farewell Tour
They teased it last year, but the folks behind letlive. have officially made good on their promise — they’re coming back to play out their final shows as a band starting this June. With dates spanning three continents over 28 appearances, the band’s final run will give fans one last chance to capture the band’s high energy style before the sun finally sets on their career.
Announced earlier today, the reunion features founding members Jason Aalon Butler (vocals), Jeff Sahyoun (guitar), and Jean Nascimento (guitar). Coming along to fill out the band’s vacant spots will be Point North drummer Sage Webber and Issues’ Skyler Acord on bass.
With an expected setlist that should cover the band’s entire discography, fans are going to want to make sure they don’t miss this final run that’s officially kicking off at the Vans Warped Tour’s Washington D.C. stop.
As for why this is happening in the first place, Butler said the reunion came from a need for closure.
“I think this is all happening out of necessity. The boys and I have expressed our need to play letlive. music again based on where we are in our lives individually and how the collective spiritual theme between us has aligned. Also, if you’ll allow me to be presumptuous—I believe the world could use the ll.ove. Besides, soul punx never dies.”
Likewise, Sahyoun said the band’s return just felt natural.
“letlive. represents a part of my life that refuses to be silenced. Coming back to it feels like fulfilling a calling—one that reminds me of why I ever started all of this in the first place.”
As a band, letlive. originally ran from 2002 to 2017, releasing Fake History (2010), The Blackest Beautiful (2013), and If I’m The Devil… (2016).
Ticket information will be made available at a later date, but for now you can check out the full list of dates to see if they’ll be hitting a venue near you.
