Spiritbox Drop Third Single “No Loss, No Love” Off Upcoming Album Tsunami Sea
To announce the release of Spiritbox’s new single, I thought of including a photo of Poppy on the post as a joke, but we’re coming up on a week since the whole Courtney LaPlante/Poppy mistaken identity incident and the gag is already starting to wear thin. I feel like that would just be the nail in the coffin of the whole joke. So instead, I’m going to forego any jokes about mistaken identity and just introduce the new single “No Loss, No Love” by Iwrestledabearonce. I mean Spiritbox. Damn it, I did it anyway, didn’t I?
“No Loss, No Love” arrives as the third single off Spiritbox’s upcoming sophomore album, Tsunami Sea, which is due out on March 7 via a partnership between Pale Chord and Rise Records. The first single, released before the announcement of the new record, was the raging yet catchy “Soft Spine,” and then the more melodic “Perfect Soul” was released alongside the announcement of the new record back in November.
By comparison to the more ethereal nature of “Perfect Soul,” “No Loss, No Love” is more of an ovaries-to-the-wall rager of a track, albeit with brief, softer interludes to highlight the poetic nature of the lyrics. The intense, black-and-white video is suitably trippy, and the image of LaPlante with freaky glowing eyes and glitter lipstick is oddly haunting. You’ll want to check out this video below.
Meanwhile, Spiritbox are gearing up to follow the release of their new album with their upcoming US headlining tour that they announced back in December with Loathe, Dying Wish, and GEL as support, so here’s a reminder of those tour dates where you’ll most likely get to hear them playing the new single:
