Obscura to Headline ‘Shred Fest 2025’ North American Tour
There may be some question as to whether or not some of the riffs on Obscura‘s forthcoming album A Sonication was plagiarized from its former band members or not, but what’s not up for debate is the fact that they’ll be headlining a North American tour later this year.
Set to kick off on April 20 in San Diego and coming to a close on May 22 in Los Angeles, the tour will make a total of 26 stops across the U.S. and Canada. Along the way, the tour will hit venues in Dallas, Denver, Quebec City, Montreal, Winnipeg, and Calgary, just to name a few locations and to let our Canadian friends know they’re getting a proper run of dates.
In addition to Obscura, the tour will also feature the likes of Atheist, Origin, Decrepit Birth, and Fractal Universe. So if you’re a fan of highly technical extreme metal music that’ll likely melt your face off, this is one run of dates you’re not going to want to miss.
Speaking of the tour, Obscura expressed their excitement about getting on the road with those aforementioned bands.
“We are excited to be part of SHRED FEST 2025, along with excellent bands such as as Atheist, Origin, Decrepit Birth, and Fractal Universe, to travel through the United Stated and Canada in April and May. Additionally, the dudes in Atheist shared their excitement, saying they were happy to see such a wide array of killer metal represented on the bill. They were also stoked to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Piece Of Time along the way.
