Protest the Hero Announce Headlining Dates Around Tour with Between the Buried and Me
A few weeks ago, North Carolina-based progressive metalcore act Between the Buried and Me announced a tour with support from Canadian progressive metalcore act Protest the Hero that we didn’t report on because we were probably reporting on what Corey Taylor thinks about Tim Lambesis’ implosion or something like that. Protest the Hero had a really funny way of announcing the tour on their Instagram, writing:
“Remember when The Backstreet Boys and The New Kids On The Block came together and fucked everyone’s stupid little brains out? This is exactly like that, but if one of the bands was waaaaaaaaay less popular than the other.
“We’re happy to go out and support BTBAM as they play an unfathomable amount of music every night.
“You may now proceed to the comments to complain about where this tour doesn’t go.”
Then yesterday, Protest the Hero added a few headlining tour dates around their tour with BTBAM just for the sake of keeping themselves busy, I guess. The tour dates are mostly in Ontario, with a few of them before the Between the Buried and Me tour, one date after the tour, and one date in the middle of the tour. Okay, that sounds confusing, so let’s break it down like this.
Here’s the newly announced headlining dates, with tickets going on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time on the Protest the Hero website:
