Blackbraid is Almost Done Working on ‘Blackbraid III’
It’s been a little more than a year since we’ve learned that Native American black metal act Blackbraid was working on their third album. The brainchild of vocalist Sgah’gahsowáh, the band’s been hard at work on the slate of new tracks when they’re not on the road. And while it’s been a while since we last had an update on the album, we now we’re all getting closer to release.
According to a post on the band’s Instagram account, work on the third full-length album is nearing completion. And while he’s not been too specific about what fans should expect from the new album, he suggested that it should be in peoples’ hands later this year “sometime before autumn.”
“In the coming weeks, as the days of winter slowly fade and the light returns, so shall blackbraid be born anew as well. Without saying too much, I am happy to reveal that the third full length has been all but completed and will be released this year, sometime before autumn. More details on this in the coming months.”
That type of timeline works out for Blackbraid, as they’ve already announced that they’ll be hosting a listening party for Blackbraid III during this year’s Fire In The Mountains Fest.
