Crypt Sermon Pull Out of Two Festivals Over an “Extreme, Urgent Medical Situation”
A bit of bad news has befallen the folks in Philadelphia doom/traditional metal outfit Crypt Sermon, as they recently took to social media to announce that they’re no longer able to perform at this year’s Up The Hammers and Hells Heroes Festivals due to “an extreme, urgent medical situation.”
No further details were provided by the band about what happened or who was involved, but obviously we hope everyone’s okay. In a bid to help the band deal with this bout of hardship, they got together with designer Jotham Malave to create a new shirt based on “Thunder (Perfect Mind)”, along with a new merch sale that the band likely hopes will help generate some much needed income during this hard time.
Crypt Sermon’s post reads as follows:
“Unfortunately, Crypt Sermon must announce our withdrawals from @up_the_hammers_festival and @hellsheroes. The band is currently facing an extreme, urgent medical situation that leaves us no choice but to make this difficult decision. We are crestfallen, and hope to work with both of the festivals again as soon as possible.
“We appreciate everyone’s support and respect for our privacy during this very difficult time. We want to personally thank our management, our booking agents, and the wonderful organizers behind these festivals for their patience and understanding as well.
“In light of these recent events, we are offering a brand new design to help our circle. The talented @jotham.malave has designed this new ‘Thunder (Perfect Mind)’ T-Shirt. Please consider picking up a shirt, along with other discounted goods via our @massacremerch (North America) & @evil_greed (UK/EU) stores. Link in bio. We are eager to share better news with you all very soon.”
We at MetalSucks hope for a speedy recovery and bounce back so they can return to the stage.
