Snot Revealed New Singer at Last Night’s Reunion Show

0

Snot was pretty hush-hush when it came to who their new singer would be for their spate of reunion shows. They wanted the unveiling to be a complete surprise, saying that the new singer was only going to be revealed once he stepped on the stage. Well, that happened last night at the band’s January 17 show at the House of Blues Parish Room in Anaheim, CA. Who is that new person? Well, it’s Andy Knapp of Stronger Than Machines.

Guitarist Mikey Doling gave a pretty good reason for the band wanting to keep everything secret, previously stating: “I wanted to let y’all know the reason that we haven’t let you know who the singer is, is strictly because social media can be brutal and they would just go right to his — I don’t know; his Facebook, Instagram or whatnot — and start scrutinizing him before he even got on stage with Snot.”

It seemed like Knapp brought hella heat and hellfire to the stage with massive amounts of energy and a certain necessary anger that fit the vibe perfectly. With Knapp now in tow, Snot’s lineup now includes guitarists Doling and Sonny Mayo, bassist John “Tumor” Fahnestock, and Jamie Miller on drums.

While no one can take the place of the band’s iconic singer Lynn Strait, who tragically passed in 1998, Knapp defs seems to be a good fit. The concert was livestreamed on the band’s Instagram page and can be viewed below or over on their page.
