Brat Release Their Cover of Heart’s “Barracuda” Featuring Goatwhore’s Sammy Duet
The latest cover song to elicit a reaction of a resounding “What the fuck?” comes from New Orleans’ self-described “bimbo violence” band, Brat released a video for a cover of the Heart classic “Barracuda.” Yeah, it’s a powerviolence cover of Heart. It gets weird.
The video depicts two guys getting stoned and deciding to put on some Heart but first taking a hit of acid, and the result is Brat’s cover of “Barracuda,” which is a pretty accurate way to depict this weird-ass cover. It’s 100% a powerviolence song that never drops that harsh vocalization from vocalist Liz Selfish and it’s kind of hilarious to hear such a classic pop song sung that way. To add to the chaos, Sammy Duet of Goatwhore and Acid Bath stops in to add a solo and some vocals to an already wild fucking song.
