Harakiri For The Sky Drop Huge New Single “Keep Me Longing”
The latest single from Austrian post-black metal band Harakiri For The Sky is a long, epic affair, as the accompanying music video for “Keep Me Longing” premiered on YouTube earlier today. Spanning just over 10 minutes, the song’s got big sweeping movements, blast-beat laden passages, and more.
Released ahead of their forthcoming album Scorched Earth, the band said the track and its video were crafted to help tell a story of “two heavy contrasts”.
“With our latest video for the song ‘Keep Me Longing’ we wanted to write a storyline that plays with two heavy contrasts: Two protagonists, which handle the feeling of loss and despair in two completely oppositional ways. One tries to get rid of his negative feelings by autoaggression in loneliness and the other one finds distraction in the vastness of the city and destructive behaviour. And I think that’s also what life is about: Antagonism and contrasts and how you handle them.”
