Acid Bath Announce More Festival Dates
Less than two weeks after the shocking cancellation of Sick New World, it looks like the world won’t be completely deprived of that sick Acid Bath reunion. That’s because the newly revitalized sludge/doom metal act announced a trio of huge festivals that they’ll be playing next year alongside their previously revealed set at Sonic Temple.
Marking their first shows in nearly 30 years, Acid Bath will kick ass on the stage at Welcome to Rockville, Inkcarceration, and Louder Than Life. As a result, all three of those festivals just got an infusion of excitement, as fans all over have been collectively freaking out for the band’s return.
For those that don’t know, Louder Than Life is taking place from September 18 to 21 in Louisville, Kentucky; Inkcarceration will take place on July 18 to 20 in Mansfield, Ohio; and Welcome to Rockville will take over Daytona Beach, Florida from May 15 to 18. Additionally, the previously announced Acid Bath set at Sonic Temple will take place on May 8 to May 11 in Columbus, Ohio.
The festival dates were announced in an Instagram post on Acid Bath’s official page. It read as follows:

Acid Bath was formed in 1991 and only existed until 1997. During that time, guitarist Sammy Duet, Mike Sanchez, and Dax Riggs made music with drummer Jimmy Kyle and bassist Audie Pitre, who passed away far too young in 1997. This time around, the band will be comprised of Riggs, Duet, and Sanchez, with drummer Zack Simmons and bassist Alex Bergeron filling out the ranks.
