A Portion of Lemmy’s Ashes to Take Up Permanent Residence at His Favorite London Strip Club

As we’ve pointed out before, Lemmy’s ashes have ended up in a shocking number of places, being gifted to some friends in bullets that he left for them, being tattooed onto certain people’s bodies, and being enshrined at certain festivals and bars in honor of the late Motörhead frontman. The latest place for them to show up is perhaps the most appropriate, as the late, great Lemmy Kilmister’s ashes are set to permanently take up residence at the rock icon’s favorite strip club in London.

On December 18, the club will be having a ceremony where a miniature replica of the late frontman’s urn filled with his ashes will be dedicated at Stringfellow’s gentlemen’s club in London. Lemmy had a good friendship with the club’s late owner Peter Stringfellow, and it was always a safe bet that, if Lemmy was in London, he’d be stopping by at Stringfellow’s.

In a statement reported on by Blabbermouth, Motörhead manager Todd Singerman said:

“Stringfellows always held a special place in Lemmy’s heart. He loved the rock ‘n’ roll spirit Peter brought to the club, he loved the relaxed environment, and he certainly loved the view. I know he’s relieved he can get back to enjoying one of his favorite places on the planet!”

Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell will be at the ceremony to say a few words about his friend and bandmate. The ceremony goes from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. local time on December 18.
