Pig Destroyer, Skeletal Remains, and More Announced for Canada’s Modified Ghost Festival
For all the stereotypes about Canadians being calm, quiet, polite people, Canadian metalheads sure know how to rock. Canadian metal festival Modified Ghost has been slowly rolling out its lineup for the 2025 edition of the festival, and they’ve got some big and heavy names coming to the Great White North.
The festival will take place May 15-18 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and they already announced the bands for the May 17 date last week. Amongst those playing on that date are homegrown thrash giants Sacrifice doing an album release show for their new album Volume Six, and Michigan-based grindcore heroes Repulsion.
Earlier today, the festival announced the lineup for the May 16 date of the show, and right at the top of the bill are grindcore icons Pig Destroyer. In addition, that day will see Skeletal Remains, Cognitive, Dying Remains, and more playing the Vancouver festival.
Writing on the official Instagram for the festival, the organizers wrote:
“Purveyors of misanthropic grind savagery. Extreme sound ruthlessness. PIG DESTROYER invade the eighth annual Modified Ghost Festival with Skeletal Remains, Cognitive, Dying Remains, Scalding, Snakepit & Dissemination! Prepare for a brutal bombardment of grindcore and death metal on Friday, May 16 in Vancouver!”
The final lineup for the May 18 date has yet to be announced, but single day passes and three-day festival passes are already on sale. See the complete list of bands that have been announced thus far listed below:
