Guitarist Orianthi to Fill in for Nita Strauss on Upcoming Alice Cooper Tour Dates
Shock rock legend Alice Cooper has a short string of tour dates lined up in January and February of 2025 hitting up venues in the southern United States that will see a familiar face rejoining the band. Nita Strauss, who has been playing guitar for Cooper since 2014 has her own string of solo dates lined up during the same time period where she’ll be opening for John 5 and Marty Friedman as she supports her own 2023 solo album The Call of the Void, leaving a Cooper’s band with a void of their own. Luckily, a replacement wasn’t that hard to find, with Cooper tapping his former touring guitarist Orianthi Panagaris, better known simply as Orianthi, to take Strauss’ place on the upcoming tour.
In a statement reported on by Blabbermouth, Cooper explained how he ended up reaching out to Orianthi:
“When Orianthi moved on to pursue her own career in 2014, we were lucky to find Nita. Over the past decade, Nita, Chuck and Tommy have also launched their own projects, and we always try to coordinate our schedule so we can keep the band together, but these shows came up after Nita had already committed to another tour. So I reached out to Orianthi, and thankfully she was available to jump back in, so we’re all really looking forward to doing these shows with her. I’m so fortunate to always have such great musicians to work with.”
So the show will go on! Cooper is going to be announcing more dates later on in 2025 where Strauss will return at guitar. In the meantime, Orianthi will be playing guitar on the following dates:

Feb. 02 – Greensboro, NC – Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts

Feb. 07 – Ft Myers, FL – Barbara Mann Performing Arts Hall
Feb. 08 – Clearwater, FL – Coachmen Park
Feb. 11 – St. Augustine, FL – Amphitheatre
Feb. 13-Feb. 17 – Miami, FL – Rock Legends Cruise
