A Sanguisugabogg Fan Danced in a Wall of Death and Metal TikTok’s Totally Being Cool About It
A female fan that decided to do a little sexy dancing in the middle of a wall of death at this past Friday’s Sanguisugabogg show has had to come out and tell people to chill the fuck out after being criticized for her actions. You’d think she committed some cardinal sin or something, given how some people reacted, but that’s par for the course really. I mean, we are talking about metal fans on social media, after all.
The whole thing kicked off when the ‘Bogg told their fans to separate the floor and make a huge chasm for a wall of death. For those that don’t know what that is (really?), it’s when fans stand on either side of the floor and then run at each other full speed once the vocalist on stage tells them to do so. It’s more brutal looking than it really is, but if you’re not careful I guess you could get hurt.
When that happened this past Friday, October 25 at the show in Silver Spring, Maryland, multiple people took video of a woman in a skirt going out onto the empty part of the floor to do a little impromptu ass shaking. Then the time came and the two sides converged on her like a trash compactor. Naturally, videos of the incident made their way online and people of course had something to say.
Of course, some people assumed she knew what she was doing, while others thought she was just some clueless clout chaser that got what was coming to her. Comments like “when you think you’re the main character” and “this girl was trying to be sexy for social media” were said, often making fun of or denigrating the girl as a clueless poser.
As it turns out, it was actually the case that the woman, named Haley Williams (not Paramore’s Hailey Williams), knew exactly what she was doing. In a TikTok she posted a couple days later, she responded to some of the harsher pieces of criticism, letting people know that she wasn’t an idiot and that she was completely fine following the stunt.
“Everybody concerned about my well-being — I am alive, I am okay, thank you for checking up on me. As for the rest of you hoes, you heifers who are like, ‘Oh, main character syndrome’ — yeah, I got that shit.”
She’s since had to deal with toxic comments from smoothbrained metal commenters, but that’s just the internet in 2024. She seems totally cool about the whole experience though, as she’s since put out videos dogging the people saying shitty things to her. So yeah — chill the fuck out, everyone and let people have fun.
