Ghost’s Concert Flick Rite Here Rite Now is Getting a Digital and Physical Release

0

Months after its debut in theaters and its streaming run has come to an end, Ghost‘s concert movie Rite Here Rite Now is getting its official home release, with both physical and digital versions will be available just in time for the holidays.

Physical copies of the movie will be available on December 6 and fans can choose between getting the film on DVD, Blu-ray, 4K, and VHS. (I know some of you reading this are too young to know what VHS is — just ask your parents.) If you get a VHS tape of the movie, just know that you’ll need an old machine to play it.

As for the digital versions, those will be made available in just a couple days, with the official release hitting on October 28. At that time, digital copies will be available via iTunes and Amazon.

Rite Here Rite Now is based on live footage shot at the band’s two shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles last year. In addition to the concert bits, the film has some asides sprinkled throughout in an effort to also tell a story, which isn’t too far off from other rock movies like Metallica’s Through The Never or Led Zeppelin’s The Song Remains The Same. For fans, this is the latest lore dump that furthers the story of Papa Emeritus IV, Sister Imperator, and more characters.

Preorders for the movie are currently online, with Loma Vista Recordings offering some special merch alongside the movie’s release, including hoodies, shirts, lithograph posters… Sadly no Rite Here Rite Now prayer beads to stick up your cruller to go with the band’s previous merch offerings, but there’s still time.
