Pig Destroyer Unleash the Demo Version of “Terrifyer” Ahead of 20th Anniversary Reissue
Death metal motherfuckers Pig Destroyer are reissuing Terrifyer for its 20th anniversary next month and if you’re a fan, you won’t want to miss out on getting your hands on a copy. To drum up excitement for the impending release, the band uploaded the demo version of the album’s title track to the internet for everyone to hear.
As you’d expect from a demo version of any song, it’s a little rough around the edges, yet this version still sounds pretty damn good and crisp at times. This isn’t a new song, so if you’re familiar with the original version, you’ll feel right at home with this one. It’s heavy, brutal, and unrelenting in all the best ways.
Keep in mind that the deluxe vinyl box set version of this reissue will be limited to just 500 copies worldwide. That version will span four LPs and features “expanded packaging and artwork from original album artist Cris Crude, liner notes from the band, and newly remastered audio of both Terrifyer & Natasha, plus 20 unreleased demo and bonus tracks,” according to the band.
In addition to that limited version, the 20th anniversary reissue will be available on November 15 as a two LP edition and a two CD version as well. You can preorder your copy today, but I’d act on the deluxe edition sooner than later if that’s the one you want.
Pig Destroyer’s also going to be playing a special 20th anniversary show at the Black Cat in Washington, DC on November 14. At that gig, they’ll also have a supporting set from Mammoth Grinder, who’ll also be celebrating the release of their new EP Undying Spectral Resonance. Other supporting acts for that night of mayhem will be Genocide Pact and Entrail Asphyxiation.
So preorder your copy and get your tickets today. You don’t want to miss any of this.
