Jake E. Lee Thinks He’s “One Lucky Mother F*cker” After Surviving Shooting in Las Vegas

After former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee — who’s also known for his work in Badlands and Red Dragon Cartel — was shot multiple times on Tuesday morning in Las Vegas in a very random incident. The guitarist is damn lucky to be doing as well as he is right now, and he knows it. With all reports saying that Lee is expected to make a full recovery, we’re really grateful for all of Lee’s good luck with this otherwise unfortunate situation.

Former Guns N’ Roses and Sixx: A.M. guitarist D.J. Ashba posted a screenshot of his text conversation with Lee on Instagram in which Ashba begged Lee to “please tell me you’re okay.” Apparently Lee’s sense of humor wasn’t damaged in the shooting, as this is what he had to say:

“Doing surprisingly well. I am one lucky mother fucker. Just make sure your bday bash is wheelchair accessible! Just jesin’!”

This, effectively, amounts to the closest thing we’ve gotten to an official statement from Lee on the incident, but at least it’s a positive update.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Darkness himself has been expressing his gratitude that his former guitarist survived the freak shooting. In a statement that Osbourne released to media outlets and then also posted on his social media accounts, he said:

“It’s been 37 years since I’ve seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn’t take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him today. It’s just another senseless act of gun violence. I just hope he’ll be ok.”

Will this incident spark a long overdue reunion between Lee and Osbourne? Probably not, but if it does, then at least one good thing will have come out of this random act of senseless gun violence.
