Some Jagoffs Robbed Mutilation Barbecue’s Trailer, Roughly $13,000 of Gear Missing
It’s a situation that no touring band wants to ever deal with, but unfortunately the dudes in Mutilation Barbecue got most of their shit stolen by some jagoff just before they were about to go on tour with Soulfly and Eyehategod.
In a post on the band’s Instagram page, the band revealed that their trailer was ransacked while it was parked in Kansas City. They shared a list of everything they lost in the incident, which they estimate was about $13,000 worth of gear and personal effects. We’re talking pedalboards, an entire drum set and its hardware, a couple guitars… just a ridiculous amount of shit to lose just before you’re about to go on tour.
Their statement is as follows:
“PLEASE READ- Every touring bands worse fear has happened to us today. This morning we came out to our trailer to find pretty much all of our gear missing in Kansas City. All of Harrisons drum set/hardware/pedals, one cab, couple guitars, all guitar heads/pedal boards and more. Overall probably $13,000 of gear got stolen. To put the sprinkles on the cake, its also on our way to the biggest tour that we have ever done supporting bands that we have idolized since being kids. We are heartbroken and honestly dont know what to do.
“We’ve always tried to make deal with what we have in any given situation and hate to ask for handouts but this is literally our only option.

This is some horrendous bullshit, man. I get that times are tough and some people need to turn to crime to survive, but stealing from a group of artists who are also trying to make it out there is just low. Here’s hoping their stuff can be recovered.
In the meantime, you should absolutely check out their latest album Amalgamations Of Gore on their Bandcamp and buy it. Hell, buy all three of their Bandcamp releases and if you can, help the dudes out over on the listed Venmo, PayPal, Cash App… whatever you can.
Considering they will likely do whatever they can to go out on tour, you should catch ’em live and buy some merch or something at any of the dates listed below. They’ll be touring with Soulfly, Eyehategod, and Skinflint.
