Metal Allegiance is Once Again Returning to Anaheim in January
It’s been roughly two decades since Metal Allegiance, the metal supergroup/collab that brings some of the genre’s biggest names together, started doing shows. Yet as they aim to continue keeping the faith and spreading the word, it was announced earlier today that the group will once again be hitting the House of Blues in Anaheim, California this coming January — and they’re bringing some massive names for the show.
Sporting their “Core 4” members (Dream Theater’s Mike Portnoy, ex-Megadeth’s David Ellefson, Testament’s Alex Skolnick, and Mark Menghi), the band will rip through some iconic songs from some of the biggest metal acts out there, as well as their own original tracks. And while those four dudes certainly seem like they could hold their own, they’re also recruiting the following heavy hitters to hold things down:
- Chuck Billy (Testament)
- Bobby Blitz (Overkill)
- John Bush (Armored Saint)
- Doc Coyle (Bad Wolves & God Forbid)
- Brandon Ellis (The Black Dahlia Murder)
- Marty Friedman
- Gary Holt (Slayer / Exodus)
- Andreas Kisser (Sepultura)
- Jeff Loomis
- Mark Tornillo (Accept)
- Angel Vivaldi
Keep in mind that even though that list is super exciting, that’s not even the full list, as there may be some surprises here and there throughout the night to shock the crowd. In addition to the star-studded main event, the show will also feature direct support from OTTTO, with additional openers being Wicked and Lock Legacy.
Ticket pre-sales will start tomorrow at 10 a.m. Eastern. Additionally, VIP Meet & Greet and VIP Meet & Greet Soundcheck packages will be available. Those packages are detailed below.
