Chelsea Wolfe Goes Acoustic with “Place In The Sun”, Unbound EP Coming Next Month
Months after the release of her latest album She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She, Chelsea Wolfe pulls things back for the final part of her She Reaches Out series with the forthcoming release of an acoustic EP titled Unbound. Available on November 15 via Loma Vista, this follows the release of another EP, Undone, which was more of a remix disc that tapped “into the dancier side of the darkness.”
And while Undone was more made to get you moving, Unbound seeks to strip everything down to its more acoustic elements. As with all three releases, this upcoming EP is just one of “three voices [that] echo through time, weaving through past, present, and future. Her music becomes a journey of transformation, evolving with each passage while staying deeply rooted in its origin.” Closing out the EP will be Wolfe’s cover of Spiritbox’s “Cellar Door.”
To mark the announcement of Unbound, Wolfe released its first single, “Place In The Sun (Unbound)”. As expected, it’s a beautiful piece of music that’s got a melancholic and dark side to it. Wolfe’s voice really shines in this EP’s format, with harmonies that really soar over everything.
In addition to the EP announcement, Wolfe revealed plans for an acoustic tour throughout the U.K. and Europe, with some additional dates set in the U.S. this December. You can find the full list of dates below.
