Kruelty to Release New EP Profane Usurpation This November
When the dust settles from their tour with Undeath, Japanese hardcore/death metal outfit Kruelty will be just weeks away from the release of their newly announced EP, Profane Usurpation. It will be their first release since 2023’s Untopia and their first since vocalist Tatami left and guitarist Zuma took over as the band’s frontman.
Set for release on November 22 via Closed Casket Activities, the EP will see the three-piece band put out what they describe as “disgusting music from Tokyo, Japan.” To mark the announcement, the band put out the EP’s title track as its first single, along with an accompanying music video.
As expected, the track is fucking heavy. Thundering riffs and rhythms fill the track out with a plodding sense of foreboding that’s pushed forward by Zuma’s vocals. The breakdowns in particular hit like a Mac truck.
