Testament to Host a Meet & Greet in Brooklyn to Promote Their Coffee and Beer

0

They may not be the first band to get their name on a bag of coffee and a can of beer, but Bay Area thrash juggernauts Testament are willing to mix it up with the people for what’s sure to be a real cool hangout. Next Wednesday, they’ll be on hand at the renowned metal bar Duff’s Brooklyn to host a special meet and greet, sponsored by both Brazen Coffee and Apocalyptic City West Coast IPA.

Taking time off from their ‘Klash of the Titans Tour’, Testament will be at the bar from 9 to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9. Since it’s at a bar, this is going to be a 21 and over event — sorry, kiddos.

Brazen Coffee was roasted right before the start of the ‘Klash of the Titans Tour’ and features a “divine dark roast, sinisterly smooth and brazenly-bodied, the purest form of specialty coffee, tediously roasted to perfection.” As someone that doesn’t drink coffee and thus isn’t a slave to a bean, I think that sounds good. You’d have to tell me one way or the other, though I doubt Testament would attach their name to anything below their standards.

Beer, however, I can get behind and their Apocalyptic City West Coast IPA sounds absolutely scrumptious. Debuted just a couple days ago, the limited edition beer is a 6% ABV IPA that’s described as “smooth, medium-bodied…with a balanced hop bitterness and bright tropical flavors.” It boasts pale ale malt and Goldpils Vienna malt, both dry-hopped with “hand-selected Simcoe, Citra, and Sultana hops.” The end result is apparently a taste that’s got “notes of pineapple-orange marmalade, passion fruit, and citrus pine.”

Those in attendance can not only get their hands on both the limited edition Brazen Coffee and the Apocalyptic CIty West Coast IPA brewed by Modist Brewing Company, but there will also be copies of the remastered editions of The New Order and The Legacy released back in July. In addition to hanging out with all of you hooligans, Testament will be on hand to sign shit, too — within reason.

If you’re unable to make it out to Brooklyn or you’re not a big coffee or beer drinker, you can always just catch Testament at a show when they continue their tour with Kreator and Possessed. You can find the list of dates below.
