The Black Dahlia Murder Shares Their Summer Fun with “Panic Hysteric” Music Video

0

One of the coolest parts of being in a big and successful metal band is getting to tour the world, hang out with cool people, and just have a great time in between shows. And with the release of their music video for new single “Panic Hysteric”, it looks like The Black Dahlia Murder had a hell of a time on the summer European festival circuit.

Featuring live footage mixed in with footage of other on-tour hijinks, the “Panic Hysteric” video doesn’t take itself too seriously. There’s no brutal death scenes or huge fake blood budget — none of that shit, really. It’s just five dudes having a blast out on the road and taking you along with them.

Following this past Friday’s release of Servitude, which is the band’s tenth studio album and their first without the late, great Trevor Strnad, people have been enjoying the shit out of the tunes. Our own reviewer had a hell of a time with the record, as evidenced by the following:

“[The Black Dahlia Murder] made the best of a truly regretful situation, and while Trevor will always be missed, he would also surely be extremely proud of what his friends have accomplished not just in his stead, but in his name.”

Speaking of the song itself, vocalist Brian Eschbach explained what the song’s all about:

“Lyrically, it’s a tribute to the fear and outrage that rock and roll ignited in mid-century America. I was reading quotes from Frank Sinatra, who really didn’t like rock ‘n’ roll, and was pretty eloquent about it. I quoted him a couple of times in the song. That was a fun Sunday writing those lyrics. I’m not gonna lie – vodkas and Shirley Temples were involved.”

You can check out the video below and listen to the entirety of Servitude wherever you get your music. As for the band’s live shows, they have a bunch coming up starting next week, so be sure to check out the list of dates below and see when they’ll be coming to a venue near you.
