Sevendust, Hoobastank, and More Announced for Creed’s Second Annual Summer of ’99 Cruise

0

Another round of the Summer of 99 Cruise is gearing up to hit the high seas again in 2025 with the return of Creed, the headliner that’s only mildly preferable to finding yourself on one of those cruise ships that had a massive outbreak of Norovirus, leading a lineup of ‘90s nostalgia bands that are at least more interesting to watch than Sandra Bullock’s performance in Speed 2: Cruise Control.

If there’s one thing these bands have in common, it’s the almost all of them saw the height of their career in the ‘90s or early ‘00s. Check out the lineup below:

  • Sevendust
  • Hoobastank
  • Lit
  • Hinder
  • Alien Ant Farm
  • Fuel
  • Filter
  • Marcy Playground
  • Dorothy
  • Local H
  • The Exies
  • Thomas Nicholas Band

Speaking of people and things that haven’t been particularly relevant in about 25 years, former MTV VJ (remember those?) Matt Pinfield and his co-hosts Caity Babs and Josh Bernstein of the AXS TV series The Power Hour are going to be there. AXS TV is a cable network, by the way, which is something I had to look up just now because it’s not a particularly well known channel.

Apparently, their TV show on this obscure television network basically does what MTV used to do in the ‘80s and early ‘90s: actually cover music news, conduct interviews, and play videos. It’s a little sad that that format that was once enough to carry a network now only exists on the extreme fringes of television, isn’t it?

Anyway, that big floating sadness boat takes off April 9, 2025 and runs to April 13. You can book on the Summer of 99 Cruise official website. Good luck with that whole thing!
