Cynic’s Paul Masvidal Gets Philosophical About Why His ‘Worst Show Ever’ Was a Good Thing

0

When it comes to some of the more thoughtful minds in metal, it’s hard to come up with someone more fitting of the description than Cynic‘s Paul Masvidal. Recently, Frank Godla got to sit down with the man himself and they got to talking about what he would consider his worst shows ever.

Ever the philosophical mind, Masvidal not only managed to find the bright, silver lining in some less-than-ideal experiences, but he managed to lean on his love of jazz to explain why even the worst nights can be meaningful.

We’d like to give a huge thanks to Paul Masvidal for taking the time to chat. You can catch him live at one of three special solo shows on the East Coast this week, starting with tomorrow’s gig in Boston. The dates are as follows:

9/26 Boston
9/28 Brooklyn (w/ surprise guest)
9/29 Baltimore
