Funko to Release New Iron Maiden Eddie Funko Pop Figures
Fun-fact about me: the way to my heart is with Funko Pops. I love these little figures and I’m always growing my collection, usually of sci-fi things: Captain Marvel, Captain Saru from Star Trek: Discovery, and a whole lot of crap from Doctor Who. Yes, I’m a nerd, I get it. I don’t have any music-related ones in my collection, but I might want to add some with the adorable new Funko Pop figurines of Iron Maiden’s long-time mascot Eddie.
The new Funko’s are being released to promote Iron Maiden’s current tour, known as “The Future Past” tour and feature three new versions of Eddie, one of them as a Chinese warrior called Senjutsu Eddie, one of him as half-robot called Cyborg Eddie, and one that’s half of each. Here’s what Funko had to say when they introduced the figures on their Instagram:
“POP! Cyborg Eddie, POP! Senjutsu Eddie, and POP! Future Past Eddie are all about to hit the stage. Is your music collection ready?”
This isn’t the first time that Eddie has gotten the Funko Pop treatment. The Funko site is still selling “Live After Death Eddie,” “Nights of the Dead Eddie,” and a display of Eddie in front of the single art for the 1983 Iron Maiden single “The Trooper.” There’s more on Amazon that are no longer in print on the Funko site including “Piece of Mind Eddie,” “Seventh Son Eddie,” and one that appears to just be Eddie holding a bloody axe. There’s even a glow-in-the-dark 4-piece Eddie box set.
Right now, the Funko site still lists the new Eddie’s as “Coming Soon” but you can go here and ask to be notified when they’re available for sale.
