Mötley Crüe Announces 35th Anniversary Edition of Their Last Relevant Album Dr. Feelgood
Rapidly declining rock band Mötley Crüe not only have an EP coming out that nobody cares about, they also announced yesterday that they’re releasing a 35th anniversary edition of their last relevant album, 1989’s Dr. Feelgood. Allow me to put on my party hat.
Here’s the announcement the band made yesterday about the reissue on Instagram:
“The Doctor will see you now…. ????☠️
Celebrate the 35th Anniversary of #1 Billboard Top 200 6X Platinum Landmark Album Dr. Feelgood. PRE-ORDER NOW – LINK IN BIO
“☠️ Thirty-Five years after its release, Dr. Feelgood stands as the last great rock record of the 1980’s, and one of the greatest rock records of all time.
“☠️ To celebrate the anniversary of Dr. Feelgood we’re releasing a Limited Edition Box Set available on LP & CD with the remastered version of the original album, as well as rare demos and live tracks.
“☠️ The box set also features a 24 page replica tour book with never before seen and never before published live and behind the scenes photos, a replica Dr. Feelgood Tour itinerary, poster, patch, backstage pass, live show handbill, press kit, medical envelope and guitar pick.
“For all you streamers out there… ????????????☠️ In addition to the box set, there will be a deluxe streaming version!
“COMES OUT NOVEMBER 22ND 2024 – PRE-ORDER NOW”
I understand the appeal of a poster, a patch, and even a guitar pick, but a press kit? I get press kits all the time. They’re not exciting.
The whole package is available on the Mötley Crüe store for $139.94 for the CD edition and $199.98 for the vinyl version. So pick up your copy of the last great album from the band that refuses to go away mad, or to just go away at all.
