Check Out This Footage of Converge in the Studio

When Converge drummer Ben Koller said in a Twitter thread that the band’s new album “could be our best yet,” I gotta admit — I was optimistic, but skeptical. We’re talking about fucking Converge, after all. Yet after a recent post on his Instagram page, I stand corrected. Seriously, check it out down below and tell me that doesn’t sound like primo shit.

Okay, now that you know it was all a joke (because of course it was if Koller’s involved), at least we have photographic proof that Converge is still plugging away at the follow up to their 2017 release The Dusk In Us. In the clip, you can see guitarist and incredibly prolific producer Kurt Ballou playing with bassist Nate Newton at Ballou’s God City Studio. Koller’s ostensibly playing with them, but then who’s controlling the camera? Conspiracyyyyy

As for further details about the new album, there’s nothing really to go off of at the moment. No release date, no tracklist, no nothing. All we gotta do now is wait.
