Watch The Callous Daoboys’ Performance for Audiotree

0

There’s really not a whole lot more to say that the headline doesn’t already cover. Just fucking watch The Callous Daoboys rip through five songs in the Audiotree studio. The performance was recorded three months ago when they were in Chicago this past March.

Both the video and audio versions of their performance are now online, so if you can’t watch it, you can at least listen to the damn thing. The band plays songs from their 2019 release Die On Mars to last year’s God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys, so you get a nice smattering of killer tunes from their discography.

Leading up to today’s drop, Audiotree shared the following information about the performance and the band itself.

“Recklessly free-spirited collective from Atlanta, Georgia, The Callous Daoboys revel in high-strung extremity, making music that’s somehow dense, impenetrable, and chaotic, yet confusingly inviting. The Callous Daoboys come from the school of ‘The Dillinger Escape Plan’, ‘Every Time I Die’, and ‘The Chariot’, with a heightened degree of theatricality as one of the core methods to their madness. Their Audiotree Live session bursts with undeniable life-affirming glee from start to finish! During their interview with Audiotree Host, FINGY, the band chats about the making of their “The Elephant Man In The Room” music video, words of wisdom for their high school selves, and their plan for harnessing the power of the full moon.”

Aside from the musical performances, the session also includes some great banter and interview segments that are super worth checking out. So yeah. I guess there was a lot more to say than just watch it, but seriously — just fucking watch it.
