Glenn Danzig Thinks the Pandemic That Killed Millions Wasn’t Real
Listen, you can argue about vaccines this and mandates that, but the one thing that’s for certain is a disease ravaged the planet a few years ago that killed millions. That’s undeniable. We have footage of people getting buried in mass graves here in America. Chances are you personally either got sick, knew someone who got sick, or sadly lost someone because of the disease.
But Misfits vocalist and apparent certified virologist Glenn Danzig thinks that was all fake. The disease known as COVID-19 was fabricated and because of that, he didn’t get to play his show five years ago. Boooo hoooo.
During the No Values Festival that happened over the weekend, the Misfits played a set of songs, basically living off the laurels of tunes they wrote 40 years ago. That’s fine and dandy. Then Danzig decided to get all boomer on everyone’s ass, spouting off some really dumb shit like the following:
“It’s been about 5 years since we were here because of some bullsht made up pandemic. Fck those motherf*ckers”
Classy. Leave it to a dude that hasn’t written a good song in more than 30 years and can’t direct a good movie to save his life pretend he knows shit about pandemics, diseases, and the like. Again, you can argue about the veracity of vaccines and whatnot — you’d be wrong — but how can you deny that a pandemic happened a few years ago that forced everything to shut down? According to the World Health Organization, there have been 775,552,205 people who’ve gotten the disease and 7,050,201 deaths — people are still dying today.
And this idea that the powers that be wanted to shut everything down? To what end? We live in a capitalist society where the imaginary arrow must always go up, which decidedly didn’t happen when everything that drove our economy aside from necessities was ground to a halt and our supply lines were left in ruins. It really just defies logic with these mouthbreathers, man.
Apparently, Danzig was in rare form throughout the whole performance, with some saying he came off “like a drunk dad being an asshole on vacation” by berating his bandmates and just being a dick the whole time.
So yeah, I know I’m going to get a buncha hate for this, but fuck it. It’s 2024 and if you want to debate anything about COVID, it’s impossible to deny the fucking pandemic happened. Morons.
