Circus loving Swedes showed up at the Starland Ballroom in idyllic New Jersey earlier this month, as Avatar brought their ‘Great Metal Circus’ tour to the Garden State. Though their sound and appearance would suggest the need for a much larger venue, they played to a solid crowd in the popular club, bringing their spectacle to a more intimate venue.

In addition to Avatar, the band’s supporting acts Conquer Divide and Oxymorrons shared the stage. And to capture it all, we had the incredibly talented Jess Ripper take the shots you can check out below. As always, her work captured the feel of the show.
