Vamachara Announce Breakup After 10 Years as a Band

0

After 10 years as a band, two LPs, and a handful of EPs, Los Angeles-based metalcore/hardcore group Vamachara have announced their breakup. The band posted a pair of images on social media, one just reading “THE END IS NEAR” in huge letters, which is admittedly a little disturbing until you see the context. The other image contains the following statement about the band calling it quits:

“After ten years, we have decided to bring Vamachara to an end. The band sincerely thanks everyone for their support throughout the years. We will do our very best to return to as many cities and countries as possible before our final show.

“With eternal love and gratitude

“Vamachara

“Los Angeles forever

The left hand path

No roses on my grave”

No announcements have been made yet about final tour dates, other than that promise to hit as many cities and countries as possible. So maybe they’ll drag this breakup out for years like NOFX. One possibility opened up as The Acacia Strain guitarist Devin Shidaker commented on their Instagram post saying:

“It’s not over until we go back to Japan together”

To which Vamachara responded:

“ready when you guys are”

There’s no way to tell if that’s a real offer or just talk, so don’t buy your tickets to Tokyo just yet. Frankly, the only city we can pretty much guarantee will get one last show will be Los Angeles, as they’re likely to end their run in their hometown. You can always comment on their social media post and beg them to come to your city. That doesn’t annoy bands at all.
