Marilyn Manson Signs with Nuclear Blast
Yet another major step in the apparent Marilyn Manson return arc has taken place, as he’s now signed with major metal label Nuclear Blast Records. Revealed in a short video online, it seems like the shock rocker’s marching forward to a place of apparent normalcy for his career just a couple years after being summarily tossed out of the industry back in 2021.
You may recall that Manson was dropped by Loma Vista Recordings back in 2021 as abuse allegations from multiple women began circulating, starting with those made by Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood. That was early on in his legal troubles, with his talent agency and long-time manager Tony Ciulla following suit.
Since then, Manson was the subject of investigation and legal proceedings — some of which are ongoing to this date. The shock rocker has been beset on practically all sides with lawsuits and court dates after former lovers, assistants, and other women came forward accusing him of being an abusive piece of shit. We’ve covered his alleged misdeeds in the past, but let’s just say it all ranges from grooming a teenage Evan Rachel Wood to threatening to kill his wife Lindsay Usich.
He’s also since been sentenced after spitting on someone during a 2019 concert, as well as a defamation lawsuit he filed against Wood, and a lawsuit alleging that he’d sexually assaulted a minor back in the 90s.
Manson’s signing with Nuclear Blast adds yet another layer to his comeback effort, as he’s also set to tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Slaughter To Prevail later this year. Not too long ago we asked MetalSucks readers what they thought about Manson’s apparent attempt at rekindling his career and a majority of people said they were down to give him another chance, so maybe this sort of thing was inevitable from the beginning.
